Celebrating History and Culture at First Pottsville on Tap
As a family-owned brewery with deep roots in Pennsylvania, we are committed to making the local community a great place to live, work and play. We understand the importance of supporting the growth of Pottsville, the brewery’s home for nearly 190 years, and that’s why we were proud to host the first-ever Pottsville on Tap event on September 15.
In partnership with the 250th Anniversary of Anthracite, we gathered friends and family in downtown Pottsville to celebrate the rich history and culture of the city. The free day-long festival paid tribute to the colorful past of coal mining and how the industry helped fuel Pottsville into the thriving town it is today.
To showcase the growth and revitalization of the city, Pottsville on Tap highlighted the fun tourist attractions in Pottsville including the Yuengling brewery, downtown restaurants and historical sites. Sponsored by several local businesses, event guests enjoyed a Yuengling beer garden, ethnic foods, live entertainment, artisan crafts and more. We also hosted special brewery tours of our 100-year-old hand-dug fermentation caves!

Pottsville on Tap was organized by the Pottsville Area Development Corporation (PADCO) and the Pottsville Business Association (PBA) whose mission is to revitalize downtown Pottsville by instilling vibrancy to the business community and improving quality of life for residents.
Whether a local resident or out-of-town visitor, we welcome fans to explore Pottsville and support local events, including Light Lager Jogger, Oktoberfest Day and more. Stay updated on exciting, upcoming events in Pottsville and at the brewery by visiting our Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
